A new look…
It’s a timeless place for a few discreet few days of rest – exceptional and unforgettable in the heart of nature and gastronomy. Baptiste Ramounéda, back in the Gers after 15 years in the fashion industry in Paris, has transformed his simple family restaurant in the heart of the spa village of Castéra-Verduzan, into a Michelin restaurant and small boutique hotel with four distinctive rooms — it’s both a new, clean way of life to get back one’s strength and a country retreat.
A dream come true – and my passion for beautiful things shared!
Welcome to the discreet but radical transformation of Le Florida.
Why Le Florida ?
Nothing to do with Florida in the U.S! In the late 1930s, huge numbers of Spaniards fleeing the Civil War arrived in the region. In 1935, Angèle, Baptiste’s great-grandmother, a passionate cook who owned the inn, had windowboxes of geraniums along the façade of the stone house.
And so the Spanish exiles called the building la casa florída — the house of flowers.
